The kidnapped dolphin
Did you know who was the main star of our coast in the 80s?
...
The dolphins!
Numerous of them swam in our waters, but one in particular is remembered for a curious story: One late summer evening a fishing boat returning from the day's work carried with it in the stretch of the Vena Mazzini between the canal and the bridge of Via Garibaldi, the unfortunate man who got entangled in the net. The sailors decided to adopt him and call him Lalla.
Every day tourists and citizens gathered to admire the new friend, and by spreading the news word by word, hundreds of people soon came to have fun watching him happily swim and play.
It was like this for a few years, until towards the end of the 50s some citizens of Cervia decided to steal it!
They left in the night in their van, loaded it up and in no time at all the dolphin was brought into our canal; already from the following morning there was talk of nothing else.
Just think that Mare e Vita Village is located right in the middle of the two places of crime and you can see them live by even getting there by bicycle!
Furthermore, a motor vessel leaves from the canal port of Cervia capable of taking you far enough to still spot the dolphins that continue to remain fond of our sea
